About Him
I think I am a kind, friendly person, who likes attractive, slim women, who are amusing, enjoy talking about everything under the sun, and have good general knowledge. I like to think I have a good sense of humour, and I have been a fan of Monty Python-type humour ever since I was a student(nudge,nudge!). I can usually see the funny side of things, and often have something wicked to say about it! But I like to laugh with people, not at them. I like the outdoors, but not in an extreme way, although I have done non-extreme rock climbing in the 'Berg's, action Judo, canoeing, sailing and aerobatic flying. I am more the relaxed tourist type-but I might still try whitewater rafting just to say I've done it! I'm pretty laidback mostly, but I can be intense about things that mean a lot to me-like using my own software to make a lot of money investing on the stock market! Although I'm 63, I still look pretty much the same as I did at 20, except that my hair is quite grey now(dye, Elf, DYE!)-no wrinkles or potbelly, and I still have a slim swimmer's build. I am pretty fit due to my daily personal exercise routine(free too!), and I think I could still do military training again. But emotionally, I'm still the long-haired hippy student I was once-except my hair is shorter now! I enjoy all types of GOOD music, I like movies and enjoy reading. I also like fine artwork and architecture(artist Grandad's genes). I'm the laidback, blue jeans type. If you like dreamy afternoons, shared cokes and good romantic movies (with a happy ending!) like 'Notting Hill', then I think we could get along! You can save me right back! hehe
About His Ideal Match
I am (ideally!) looking for a slim, pixie-like woman, relatively quiet, but with a good sense of humour, curiosity about the world, and with a good level of conversation. She should be able to talk about anything and be relatively broad-minded. She should not be a nagging type (my Mom isn't, and she is the standard for me), and should not be inclined to get into arguments about trivial stuff. If you are a drama queen, or laugh hysterically with every sentence, I think it's very unlikely that we would get along for long, or even at all! I'm also not looking for a cold, ambitious, competitive professional, or a pedantic conventionalist, or a holy roller, or a baby machine, or kooky types who play their guys and their pets off against each other, or anybody who is determinedly and unashamedly wild. (Anybody left?? hehe) But, at the end of the day, it's all about chemistry isn't it, and whether anything really 'clicks'. You can't always tell at the start, for sure, but you can certainly eliminate definite non-starters! Isn't the Internet wonderful? I hear that 1 in 5 marriages nowadays are between people who first meet on the Net! A sign of the times all right...is it a good one? Probably..if the divorce rate is running at 50%, the traditional ways clearly aren't efficient! And what comes next, optimal breeding by coded DNA e-mail? Dynamic 3D and 4G tattoos by laser printer? ENOUGH IRREVERENCE, ELF! She should also enjoy books, movies, GOOD music, learning about new things, and not expect to be the centre of attention all the time. She should allow emotional space, and also want the same space for herself.
